Flea and tick

Pet owners  understand that flea and tick preventatives are a multibillion dollar industry in the United States! And nowhere it is most important than Southern California, where hot and humid air is the best climate in the world for fleas! You want a preventative that is very safe for your pet, but was able to control the fleas! Trust me, you don’t want to have fleas in your house, laying eggs, having an infestation! It needs to be fast, it needs to be safe, and it needs to kill fleas fast! There are few products on the market, some of the work well, and some of them, downright dangerous! So getting a recommendation from your veterinarian , otherwise you can have a big problem. Usually the multi tier approach is the best way to control fleas and ticks! You can treat your pet directly and treat the environment, such as your garage, backyard, and anything where your pet was laying on. Flea dips , used by your local groomer, could be effective but, it can be toxic for cats!

Treat your environment

The pills, prescribed by your vet is a much better option, but you should carefully consider the dosage . Flea colors, sprays, and powders are economical, but, they don’t always work, so ask your local groomer or your vet for advice is your best option. it is also important, not only to treat your pet, but to treat your environment! Smart pet owners know that dog beddings, pillows,  tows, must be washed thoroughly with a warm water, before and after the flea treatment is applied. Vacuum your carpet thoroughly and often and the flea bag, should be thrown away, as a flea cycle can survive in a vacuum bag. Shampooing  your carpet can remove the larva as well, but some sort of chemical treatment must be necessary! Your local groomer may have lots of solutions to this problem.
